About Dr. Camille Silva

Dr. Camille SilvaCamille E. Silva, OD is a kind and caring optometrist who puts her patients first. She garnered her love for optometry and her patients during her diverse working experiences. From a multitude of community health centers in the Greater Boston area, to the Baltimore VA, a vision therapy private practice in Connecticut, the New York City head trauma unit at SUNY Optometry and even a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, she strives to give her best to every patient she sees.

Dr. Silva specializes in optometric rehabilitation therapy, otherwise known as vision therapy. This is a process where she works with her patients to develop or improve vital visual skills that are underperforming and are causing symptoms such as eyestrain, double vision, intermittent blurry vision and much more. She sub-specializes in neuro-optometric rehabilitation therapy. This incorporates specific knowledge to treat visual issues and symptoms more commonly seen in people with acquired brain injury and/or concussions. She also is licensed to practice full-scope optometry in the states of New York and Maryland.

She was born in New York and moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend undergraduate and optometric institutions. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2015 at Boston University with a BA in Chemistry. She then obtained her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree at New England College of Optometry in 2020. In 2021, she completed a residency at the SUNY College of Optometry in vision rehabilitation with an emphasis on brain injury rehabilitation. Since then she moved from New York to Maryland to be with her fiancée.

In her free time, Dr. Silva likes to practice her kung fu, run, cook, read, try new foods and spend time with family and friends.
